Canadian Practical Nursing Registration Exam (CPNRE)

This is the national test for the Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Practical Nurses (Ontario).

The 4-hour exam consists of 165-170 multiple choice questions to measure around 85 competencies within the scope of practice of LPNs/RPNs.

Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN)

This exam is used to assess the English proficiency of the Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) who wish to get registered in Canada. This test is crucial in the registration process as communication is the key to safe and competent patient care.

CELBAN has been designed based on the needs specific to nursing profession. Therefore, it is an Occupation-Specific Language test which assesses candidates in listening, reading, writing and speaking.
